Feminism: female empowerment based on the belief in the social, political, economic and cultural equality of the sexes.
I've noticed a disturbing trend recently. For some reason, many people on the internet and in real life have pre-conceived, often incorrect notions of what feminism is really about. So here's my interpretation of what feminists look like: they look like humans. Not angsty, men-hating women, but rather humans across all races, genders, abilities and sexualities. Why? Because feminism isn't misandry, nor is it solely for women. Through this piece, I wanted to show how everyone can be feminist, cause feminism is about everyone.
This piece was made using a mixture of Photoshop, my Surface Pro 3 and my Wacom Bamboo tablet. I've researched the KyoAni style of anime in the past for my IGCSE Art Coursework, which I'm happy to say I received an A* Grade in! I used a lot of my older studies and references during the making of this. (I was also able to squeeze in a lil Haruka! ouo) It was made for a interschool competition about 'Global Issues'. What do you think?
I hope you like it! Please comment, +Fav or +Watch!
